We warmly invite you to Hogen Sensei's evening talk at the Opawa Zendo in Christchurch.

The fundamental Buddhist teachings are all based on the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path. These are the teachings on the cause of suffering and the path of freedom from suffering. Implicit in the Buddha’s  teachings is that what we do with our action, our speech and our thoughts creates our karma.

This evening talk by Sensei Hogen Green will invite us to look at what karma is, what it is based on, and how karma functions in each of our lives. This talk also explores how to affect our karma in a manner that leads to a life of greater freedom and compassion.

This public talk at the Opawa Zendo in Christchurch is one of two teachings on karma: the other is a Saturday workshop on January 18.  For workshop information, click here.
NB: The public talk and workshop are separate events - it's fine to come for just one of them.

No registration is required for this event, but you can indicate your intent to join us through this link.
